    「so」は、「そう」と言い表せて、コアイメージから理解すると、後の言葉を肯定する(そうなのですと形容する)イメージであり、farを形容しています。farは、見える範囲の遠くを意味しているので、so farは、見渡せる限り(現状)として、それを肯定するイメージです。so farを副詞として、文脈の中のどこかに配置すれば良いです。
